Imam Tom Facchine

Imam Tom Facchine is the Research Director of Islam and Society at the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research. He is also an instructor at Legacy International Online High School, where he teaches Tafseer and Islamic History. He holds a BA in Political Science from Vassar College (2011) and studied in Madinah from 2015-2020, where he obtained a BA from the Faculty of Shariah at the Islamic University. His work largely focuses on Islamic Political thought and deconstructing contemporary ideologies.

Shaikh Hunzla Zaidi

Shaykh Hunzla Zaidi was raised in Canton, Michigan. He finished the memorization of the Quran when he was ten years old. After middle school, high school, and a couple years of university level studies in the field of Biochemistry, Hunzla left the field and devoted himself full time to learning Deen. He studied at AlHussnain Seminary, a branch of senior scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel’s schools based in Pakistan. Shaykh Hunzla then finished his studies under the guidance of world renowned scholars in Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia in Binori Town, Pakistan, receiving his certification of Hadith from there. He is currently a Miftaah Institute instructor.

Shaikh Sohaib Sheikh

Shaykh Sohaib Sheikh is a faculty member of the Qalam Seminary where he teaches Mustalah al-Hadith. He also participates in Qalam’s various online programs. Shaykh Sohaib is a graduate of the Qalam ʿAlimiyyah program. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts from AlMaghrib Institute. He memorized the Quran and received traditional Ijazat in the ten recitations of the Quran (Sughra and Kubra). He has worked extensively with Islamic organizations like Young Muslims, MSA, Why Islam, and AlMaghrib. Additionally, Shaykh Sohaib gives khutbahs and talks around the Dallas area.

Imam Jamal El-Chebli

Sheikh Jamal was born in Tripoli, Lebanon. He received his academic education at the Islamic University of al-Medina Saudi Arabia, where he got his B.A in Daw’ah and Usul Al-deen, and the University of Kent at Canterbury, England where he got his M.A in Politics and International Relation. While in Lebanon, Imam Chebli got his Islamic Studies Diploma through Al-Azhar School in Beirut. He has served as Imam in many Masajid in Tripoli, Lebanon. Sheikh Jamal was called by the Islamic society of Greater Harrisburg, PA where he served as an Imam from 1996 to 1998. At the end of 1998 he was selected to serve as an Islamic Chaplain at Pennsylvania Department of Correction in Chester State Correctional facility. At the same time he helped numerous Islamic Mosques in the Tri-State Area

Shaikh Abdelghani Benyahya

Shaikh Abdelghani Benyahya, the Imam Khateeb at Muslim Center of New York (MCNY), has served the community for more than 20 years. With a specialization in Arabic Literature and Islamic studies, he offers a deep and profound understanding of semantics coupled with his extensive knowledge of the Madahib (Islamic schools of thought). With his exhaustive experience lecturing at colleges and active involvement in community affairs and counseling, he brings deep knowledge of Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and history. His emphasis on spiritual guidance, coupled with his commitment to education, continues to enrich and empower the community he serves. His dedication to community service continues to inspire and strengthen the bonds among community members.
