There are two main factors that can affect your refund amount:
- Currency Exchange Rates – Payments to Nusuk are made in SAR but funded in your local currency (e.g., USD). When Nusuk processes a refund, your financial institution converts SAR back to your currency, which can result in a small loss due to the exchange rate difference.
- . Nusuk Processing Fees – Nusuk applies a refund processing fee and VAT, which is approximately 2.76% of the refunded amount. This fee is disclosed when topping up your e-wallet. For the Hajj 2025 season, there was a 10-day grace period for refunds, but this has not yet been confirmed for Hajj 2026.
